Impossible to Resist (Harlequin Desire)

Impossible to Resist - Janice Maynard Jacob Wolff is a recluse in his mountain, helping those who can afford him and spending time trying to find a cure for cancer. After loosing his mother and aunt on a kidnapping, his best friend to an illness at a very young age and his fiancee to another illness he is not willing to risk his heart again. Ariel is an actress looking for a doctor to help her with her illness that nobody knows about, but he must pose as her boyfriend in front of everyone while she is filming the biggest film in her career. Jacob has been recommended to her by a friend as a very discreet doctor and the best one to help her with her dilemma.

This was a good and entertaining read. In the beginning I didn't like Ariel very much, she seemed spoiled and used to manipulating people. She has a bad reputation that Jacob doesn't like very much but knows he cannot judge very harshly for it may not be completely true. But as I read the book I got to know her and like her, even if her way of viewing life was not always very realistic. Jacob was easy to like, but very hard on his own heart. He doesn't want to love again after all the losses in his life and fights it with all his might. This is a story that you have to read if you want to see how Ariel gets under Jacob's skin and manages to help heal him from his past and accept love again.
